The First Vendor Art and Craft Show

I did my first Arts and Crafts show at the Annual Three Foot Art Festival in Meridian, MS in April. About three weeks leading up to it, I read every bit of helpful info I could find on Pinterest and didĀ all sorts of online research. All my research still did not take away my jitters and my what if thinking. When the morning of arrived, I barely ate and rushed out the door with my husband and children. I thought I had everything organized enough. O, how wrong I was.

I could not find my tape that would actually stick norĀ other needed items.

The wind was fighting against me while cooling me at the same time.

The clock was counting down. Oh yeah, I arrived with thinking one hour was enough time to sit up.

I won’t bore you with all the details, but I will say I left with a smile, three pounds lighter, great sales, new artsy friends and a list of many notes to self. My top five notes to self after the event. If you are reading this I hope your first show will be a spectacular memory.

1. Make sure Everything is well organized.

2. Be an Early bird to set up the booth.

3. Have at least Two people to assist.

4. Bring a booth Blending stool chair.

5. Have a Plan for wind, rain, etc. to protect your work.
